CEMEX, SAB de CV (“CEMEX”) announced today that it has signed a power purchase agreement with Enel Green Power, which will provide clean electricity to CEMEX’s cement operations in Guatemala over the next five years.

The agreement underscores the commitment of CEMEX and the Enel Group to lead their industries in climate action and facilitate the transition to clean energy. The supply contract is in line with CEMEX’s ambitious Scope 2 goal of achieving 55% clean energy by 2030. Approximately 164 GWh of clean electricity saved under this agreement is CO2 equivalent.2 emissions by planting more than 240,000 trees.
